Rachel McNulty- Make up Artist: Terms and Conditions


It is the responsibility of the named person (Lead Booker) contained within this terms and conditions document form to understand, agree and accept responsibility for all booking conditions, including all payment and event information. By proceeding to pay the deposit listed below you accept that you are entering into a contract and you and anyone else booked with you are bound by these conditions.   


1.1: Acceptance Of Terms Clause

By signing to the terms noted in this document, I ........................., agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. In addition, when using these services, you shall be subjected to any posted guidelines or rules applicable to such services.  Any participation in this service will constitute acceptance of this agreement. If you do not agree to all guidelines stipulated in this document, Rachel McNulty Make Up Artist reserves the right to withhold services supplied to you, the client.

1.2: Privacy Statement

Any personal and private information supplied to Rachel McNulty Make Up Artist shall be stored securely at the registered company address. This information shall not be shared or supplied to any third party and subsidiary company. Should there be any changes in payment, address or contact information, you the client, agree to give a minimum of 48 hours notice to the company detailing these changes.

Rachel McNulty Make Up Artist will not ask information not required to fulfil your expectations as the client.

1.3 Making A Booking, Deposits and Payment

In order to secure a booking with Rachel McNulty Make Up Artist, a non-refundable and non-transferable deposit of 50% shall be taken upon request of the booking. This deposit must be made by bank transfer or cheque.  This deposit can be used to offset the final payment but cannot be used against the pricing structure of trials. Trial costs are due at the time of trial or with prior notice. The remaining balance is collected prior to the event BEFORE the services are carried out. 

1.4 Prices & Call Out Charges

A price list will be provided to the client before booking. These prices are non-negotiable and cannot be adjusted to suit budgets. Rachel McNulty Make Up Artist has a minimum call out charge of £35. For wedding bookings, a minimum of 3 people booked is required. For call outs earlier than 6am, a £50 early call out charge will be applied to the booking cost. 


1.5 Make Up & Hair Trials

All trials are to be agreed between you the client and Rachel McNulty Make Up Artist. Trials can take place at your preferred address with notice given of the address, directions and parking information. Rachel McNulty Make Up Artist recommends that trials be given to all members of the bridal party prior to the day of the event.

Without a trial, Rachel McNulty Make Up Artist will not accept responsibility if a desired look or style does not meet expectations and a refund will not be offered. Notice must be given by you the client, if you wish to reschedule or change an agreed trial appointment. The notice period for this is a minimum of 48 hours. In the event that Rachel McNulty Make Up Artist has turned down other work to accommodate your request, you shall be charged if notice under the minimum requirement is supplied. Rachel McNulty Make Up Artist reserves the right to amend or cancel a booking if during the trial you, the client, are uncooperative or abusive. It is advisable that you the client liaise closely with Rachel McNulty Make Up Artist in order to ascertain your expectations and desires. In the unlikely occasion that you are not satisfied with the service you receive, you must contact Rachel McNulty Make Up Artist immediately to rectify any grievances you may have. The company reserves the right to withhold refunds, deposits, retrials or cancellations without charges if these terms of agreement are not met.

 1.6 Booking Cancellations & Changes

If you wish to cancel your booking with Rachel McNulty Make Up Artist then this correspondence must come from the person who made the booking only. You are duty bound to provide 48 hours notice in order to cancel your booking. If this notice is not given, the full amount of services cancelled will still be payable. If no payment is received, Rachel McNulty Make Up Artist will proceed with legal proceedings to recover losses. Changes to your booking (for example adding another person to the booking without prior notice) will be at the discretion of Rachel McNulty Make Up Artist providing your original expectations can be met within the agreed time frame and additional payment funds can be acquired. Adding extra people onto the booking without prior notice may jeopardize the standard and quality of work delivered to you on the day.

1.7 Extenuating Circumstances or Company Cancellations

In the extremely unlikely circumstance that Rachel McNulty Make Up Artist is unable to attend your event, all fees including the deposit shall be repaid in full and alternative highly reputable makeup and hair service providers shall be recommended to you. Rachel McNulty Make Up Artist shall endeavour to cover the loss of services by advising on an alternative but the final decision shall be the responsibility of you, the client. Rachel McNulty Make Up Artist is covered by public liability insurance and has equipment insured by a selected beauty insurance company.

If at any point during your event Rachel McNulty Make Up Artist is made to feel uncomfortable, abused (verbally or physically) or mistreated in any way, the company has the right to cancel the contract without refund.  In the very rare occasion of any extreme weather conditions which can cause personal harm, Rachel McNulty Make Up Artist has the right to cancel the booking providing full refund of deposit and service payments.

1.8 Client Obligations

You, the client, must ensure that there will be a suitable working environment with adequate lighting, electricity points, and hand washing facilities. Please ensure every member of your party is aware of timings on the day and that they need to be, and remain, available. You are to inform Rachel McNulty Make Up Artist of any allergies or reactions prior to, or after, any makeup application or hair styling. If no known allergies are stated, Rachel McNulty Make Up Artist cannot be held liable for any reactions, injuries, losses, damage, costs, claims and actions that may occur to you or any other member of your party. Prior to having makeup applied or hair styled please ensure you and your party are prepared, to avoid leaving the chair whilst we are working. Please ensure teeth are cleaned, you have been to the toilet and contact lenses are applied (if applicable), before sitting in the chair. Also make sure you are make-up free, (Rachel will prepare your skin.) Please ensure hair is clean, completely dry (unless told otherwise) and free from product. Rachel McNulty Make Up Artist advises washing the night before and avoiding heavy conditioners. If any of your bridal party have wet hair (unless told otherwise) they will be expected to dry it thoroughly before services can be provided. Please do not eat or speak on your mobile phone during makeup application. Please do not sit children/babies on your lap whilst having your hair styled or make-up applied. For their own safety please ensure that children are kept away from our styling tools and products at all times. Styling irons are extremely hot, and hazardous, and Rachel McNulty Make Up Artist will not be held responsible if a child is injured as a result of the parent or carer not being present.

1.9 Travel Expenses

Rachel McNulty Make Up Artist includes within services a free travel distance of 10 miles. Any mileage accrued over 10 miles is charged at 45p a mile. Journeys over 80 miles from the companies address shall be subject to booking requirements. You, the client, also accept that any parking charges shall be included within the final booking payment.

2.0 Working Abroad

Travel and accommodation must be paid for and provided when services are overseas. If travelling by air, baggage allowance will need to be suitable for Rachel McNulty Make up Artist’s Kit and a minimum of 20kg is required, extra may be needed to allow for services and this shall be included in the final payment and invoiced to you, the client. The accommodation provided must be in close proximity to the venue where the services are taking place and any travel in between will also be added to final payment. The invoice will be sent and will need to be paid BEFORE travel to the destination. If terms are not met, Rachel McNulty Make up Artist has the right to cancel the services.

2.1 Photography

You, the client, accept that Rachel McNulty Make Up Artist may use photography for publicity and advertising purposes which include but aren’t limited to the website and social media.
